How significant is a second date?

I recently went on a first date with a girl i matched with on bumble. I felt like it went well, but i was unsure if she was interested, but messaging her after, it seemed like she was more concerned if i was interested in her, so she probably is interested.

A day or two after our first date, she initiated talking about and setting up our second date. I'm not that experience in dating, so is this a good sign for the future?

Absolutely it is a big deal. Not only are you going on a second date but she initiated it. That's huge. First dates are for feeling someone out. If she didn't get a good vibe initiialy then you probably would have got the boot or not heard from her again. She reached out to you so that means she had a great time and sees potential or why would she waste her time? This is a great sign for the future... at least the immediate future. I don't wanna be a downer but it is only the second date. You are still feeling each other out. Just keep doing what you're doing and have fun. She's definitely into you.

No kisses on the lips or holding hands. But she gave me a hug when we met, and when i dropped her off home, i attempted to kiss her on the cheek but her hair was in the way lol
