Is it possible to still meet guys at the gym?

I know it’s like a big rule now not to talk to anyone at the gym but it’s the ideal place to meet attractive people who live near you. I never meet any cute guys outside and much less tall strong men.

The gym is like a haven of ideal men but you’re not allowed to talk to anyone? It’s genuinely torture or something similar to hell on earth. I’m not bold enough to approach anyone I’ve been rejected way too many times and treated like a easy side option for doing that plus I like to think my ideal guy would think I’m his ideal girl and know he has to speak to me because ideally he’d be confident. If the perfect woman appears in front of a man he will approach.

I met my boyfriend at the gym but it was years ago, the environment at the gym wasn’t as tense at the time. It’s not that you’re not allowed to talk to anyone though, it’s just that most people are busy focusing on getting their work out done. People don’t usually come to the gym to meet guys/girls, they’re there to work out and enjoy some me time.

It’s very rare for guys to approach a girl at the gym bcs like I said, they’re there to work on themself. So you gotta make the first move lol (make sure you’re not bothering them during their set, and that they’re single, lots of guys work out with their girlfriend even if their girl is not anywhere near them).

No it’s not. Most men just want to workout. I’d say years ago men would entertain the idea of meeting women there. But honestly a lot of women have made it a not so safe zone w their childish antics of recording men, calling them creeps for even glancing their way. Even if they weren’t glancing at you, just the fact that they looked in your direction got them labeled as creeps. Men want none of that, because you don’t know what direction she will go w it. You may be ok one day then next thing you know she’s accusing you of something. I don’t blame them either. Why take a chance?

No. Women ruined the gym by screaming at guys who spoke to them or even dared to glance in their direction. Tons of men have quit gyms entirely and are working out at home instead, and the ones that still go are going out of their way to ignore and stay away from women.

It's not that your not allowed to talk to people in the gym but it's just generally considered rude to go up to someone and try to start a conversation with them in the middle of a set/workout.

Plus with the whole trend that went around with women filming themselves in the gym and then making false accusations against guys and getting a lot of people in trouble for views and click bait that even further makes guys not want to interact with women in the gym.

I mean me personally unless I know you or you need help because you need a spotter or don't know how to use a machine I'd rather not be bothered while I'm working out now if my workout is done or I'm resting in between sets then I don't mind chatting for a minute. But otherwise I'd rather focus on my workout.

And if guys don't approach you at the gym don't take it personally most of us aren't there to pick up women or chat with folks were there first and foremost to workout.

It is sadly obvious why you need to ask but I think people still assess people from non-verbal cues initially and primarily.

Dressing in a hot girl way is an obvious big red flag now but you can still look cute with loose clothing. With some girls you get the impression they have the police on speed dial but get the impression from others that they are affable and friendly.

It won't hurt to smile in recognition of people and say a few words. I think that is all you need..

I don’t go to the gym anymore, but I don’t think it’s appropriate to hit on people at the gym to workout. I wouldn’t say it’s impossible to meet someone there, but anyone still approaching women at the gym are likely weirdos that you wouldn’t want to get to know anyway.

Common sense applies. Don't interrupt somebody mid set. In fact it'd be best to do it when they're done with thier workout completely. If they look like they're in a hurry it probably be best not to bother them that day.

Personally I think the gym is a poor place to hit on people. I don't want a woman flirting with me if I'm working out. I would assume the same of them. I'm there to work out, not socialize.

I used to workbout at a place that was Like a dating bar. It used to drive me nuts. I shopped around for a more hard-core place. I guess it depends on the gym.
