Is dating a guy from the gym a bad idea?

There are few guys from the gym that has approached me
And asked to go on dates
I go to different locations for gym
So I get a few guys wanting my number, etc

But my best friend told me that guys from gym are cocky/arrogant and not dateable
And that relationship won't last long with them
So I should avoid dating them

I've personally never dated a guy at the gym before, but that's because unlike you, they never approach me, lol. But would I? Sure, if he was my type; absolutely!

Think about it: he's fit and takes care of his body, so you both could workout together. You know he's goal orientated- most people that workout are. And you'd have someone to motivate you to work out when you don't want to, or vice versa.

The only downside is, if things don't work out between you two, you'll see them everytime you're at the gym, or if he's petty, he might spread rumors about you to keep his buddies from dating you as well :
So just be careful if you do date someone at a gym.

I go to the gym regularly and men at the gym, especially if they're regulars, are some of the sweetest and most considerate men I've met.

Think about it. They're committed to something - a goal, an activity, a body type - and they go after it with a regular effort.

That sort of mindset is easily applied in other areas of life to great success.

Doesn't matter where you meet someone, whether it's school, work, gym, hobby club, a park, a shopping mall, and etc. there will always be cocky, arrogant, creepy, and/or weird people everywhere you go. Listening to someone who has 0% dating experience is the worst idea ever. No one's saying you have to go all out and it has to be official after the first time. If you want to know them, just go out with them, bring a friend you want, but let them know it's just a casual date and nothing serious. You can decide if you want to take things to the next step after hanging out with them a few times and know them a bit better.

Not everyone who goes to the gym is cocky and arrogant, trust me on that I use to work in one. There are plenty of guys and girls who go to the gym who are wonderful people.

I'm a firm believer that you should never date anyone who you'll have to see again if things don't work out. There's nothing that necessarily ties you to THAT gym, so take that advice however you will.
