There are few guys from the gym that has approached me And asked to go on dates I go to different locations for gym So I get a few guys wanting my number, etc
But my best friend told me that guys from gym are cocky/arrogant and not dateable And that relationship won't last long with them So I should avoid dating them

I've personally never dated a guy at the gym before, but that's because unlike you, they never approach me, lol. But would I? Sure, if he was my type; absolutely!
Think about it: he's fit and takes care of his body, so you both could workout together. You know he's goal orientated- most people that workout are. And you'd have someone to motivate you to work out when you don't want to, or vice versa.
The only downside is, if things don't work out between you two, you'll see them everytime you're at the gym, or if he's petty, he might spread rumors about you to keep his buddies from dating you as well : So just be careful if you do date someone at a gym.

Doesn't matter where you meet someone, whether it's school, work, gym, hobby club, a park, a shopping mall, and etc. there will always be cocky, arrogant, creepy, and/or weird people everywhere you go. Listening to someone who has 0% dating experience is the worst idea ever. No one's saying you have to go all out and it has to be official after the first time. If you want to know them, just go out with them, bring a friend you want, but let them know it's just a casual date and nothing serious. You can decide if you want to take things to the next step after hanging out with them a few times and know them a bit better.
You're gonna take the advice of someone who never dated guys from the gym? You're a grown up (I assume). You can tell for yourself if a guy sucks or not. Dating doesn't mean anything more than seeing if you have things in common. Get your prude friend a date too
Not everyone who goes to the gym is cocky and arrogant, trust me on that I use to work in one. There are plenty of guys and girls who go to the gym who are wonderful people.
No, I don’t think so. Not all gym guys are like that. Some Kings just want to support their fellow Kings, Queens and in-betweens get their gains, whether it’s in the gym or in general.
I'm a firm believer that you should never date anyone who you'll have to see again if things don't work out. There's nothing that necessarily ties you to THAT gym, so take that advice however you will.
The ole saying goes don’t shit where you eat. If you really like your gym and have a great workout routine I wouldn’t because it can ruin our positive experience at the gym by having to see said person on a regular basis.
