A man cannot control his height if he is full grown but he can control how much sympathy and kindness he shows other people. I believe a man that shows mercy and kindness towards others, will be viewed as a man of status and stature, even if he is short. It really depends on multiple circumstances. Dating apps might be fine as long as the short man in question has a perfect face and does not meet up in real world, though I guess that last part renders this method useless. Generally speaking, any attempt to find a real-life girlfriend at random is extremely likely to end in a failure for a short man in the West these days. However, with some research and a targeted, informed approach, the search might still yield satisfying results. However, it might be hard to actually get through to women with low (or rather "short") expectations. Most of them would likely have low self-esteem themselves, and thus they would probably avoid leaving their houses, so it would probably be the easiest to find them through some niche forums on the internet. However, these lucky short men would still have to make up for their substandard height with confidence and an ability to deal with virtually any crisis they are confronted with, and high financial/social status would be an important advantage. They would also have to be wary of predators preying on the desperate (I guess high confidence, bordering narcissism, would help a lot in this case). Basically, they would have to hold onto every single advantage they have in order to compensate for their substandard height. The more they allow their potential girlfriends to get attached to their strong but kind characters before revealing their looks, the better.

On the other hand, if it turns out to be too hard to find a girlfriend in the West, the more affluent among the short men can always try their luck outside of the West. For example, people in Asia are apparently shorter in general, so Asian women would likely have "shorter" expectations as well. Is it unethical? Somewhat. If it works, however, it's worth giving it a try if nothing else works.

Thus, short men are not doomed in the dating world in 2024 and are unlikely to be absolutely doomed in the foreseeable future (especially as the war that's currently brewing might heavily limit the supply of men in general, driving the demand for even the short men up in the process). It simply depends on how determined they are and how broad their definition of "world" is.
