No, they are not. My sister married a guy from POF. But like anything in life, you need to be careful.

It is sad that it has to be the way it is. I am an IT guy. After my divorce, I thought "this is perfect. I enter my info, it matches me up, boom... happily ever after". lol... wow was I wrong. I don't understand the point in lying on dating apps. But they do. I have had dates with women who clearly were only there for free drinks or meals. And I have heard of the nightmare that women have due to so many men being just pigs.

I've had recent success on Badoo with a free account. Back in 2016 I had success on OKCupid with a free account, but I haven't used it since 2017. I've also had success on Adult Friend Finder, but they've changed that to where you need a paid membership to do anything on there now. Plenty Of Fish and Tagged used to be good free options, but they're a waste of time now.

At this point, yes. They actively block people who like you from your view, they set you in groups of “attractiveness scores” so you aren’t seen and can’t be seen by people the app deems out of your league unless you pay for it.

Considering the fact that one of my best friends found his match from there and they have been together for a while and that they are happy, no they are not. At least not in all cases.

Yes, I knew a guy that worked for OK Cupid who admitted to me, it was mostly a scam with fake profiles. It also said it was a system that tricked users into thinking paying for a full subscription increased their chances of meeting someone.

Depends on the app. A lot of the more "Adult themed" ones are because they have fake bots there to entice you into paying for a premium membership.. But the apps like Tinder, and Hinge and the like aren't scam them selves but a lot of the matches are scammers.

No, it would be a scam if it worked for nobody. Dating apps are a just ways for attractive people to find other attractive people for sex. Women are overly picky, the more attractive the more picky, and majority of men on there are considered beneath consideration to those women.

I enjoyed my time on dating apps. Even found d my wife on there. Just learn to be honest and understand others dont always want to be honest. So when. You talk to someone match the energy they put into it. But understand there's so. e real trash on there and a lot of people who are in committed relationship go there to cheat so careful.

A female friend of mine meet a guy on those dating apps then the guy had the hots on my girlfriend then our friend of ours and the guy tried sexually assaulting my girlfriend when she was staying the night at our friends house. local law enforcement has opened a case on the guy.

They are definitely for-profit enterprises that emphasize getting you to fork over money over finding you true love. But some people do have success with them.

My method for telling if a profile is fake... they message me 😀 I tend to wait a day so they can be kicked off the site for being a fake profile.
