Is finding out your S/O dated another man before you really a big deal, or is my girlfriend overreacting?

She's overreacting because I dated someone before her, yes. I thought it was not a big deal since many people have exes.

Yeah that is ridiculous on her end. If she’s acting differently with you or making your past an issue I’d honestly think breaking up would be on the table. It’s just too petty.

She asked for some time to see if she can get past it, so I agreed to give her a week. I don't think she means it in a bad way she just got so freaked out and started asking all sorts of questions that didn't help either of us calm down. I'm hoping it was just because it was sort of a surprise, and once she has that time to think she will realize it's really not a big deal and we can go back to normal.

I hope so! Keep an eye on that for sure but if everything ends up ultimately good then that’s what matters.
