That’s nothing. It’s not that surprising that societal expectations are wildly hypocritical. What is surprising is that we have laws on the books that are wildly unconstitutional. Despite being challenged in court, lawmakers and politicians refuse to change them. In the US, only boys are required by law to register for a military draft. There are several privileges that girls and women get that boys and men have to earn through registration. NOT registering and attempting to enjoy said privileges is a crime that could land a man in prison and fined $100,000 or more. Despite having been challenged in court several times, nothing has changed. The fourteenth amendment was ratified in 1868. The draft become a civic responsibility through “selective service” in 1917. It was unconstitutional from day one. Interestingly, feminists who insist that their movement is and always has been about “equality”, have neither fought to end registration for men nor to force registration upon women. Nobody cares about REAL institutionalized sexism as long as the victims are male. We’d rather bicker about the imagined slights of the privileged, like who has the societal approval to bang children.
You're mistaken- there are no "privileges" given to women that men are denied if they refuse the SS, unless you consider "not going to jail" a privilege. You can't choose to simply not drive or vote or attend college and then be safe; they can come after you anyway.
Check your meds. You literally specified some of the privileges women get that men are denied if they don’t register for the draft. AND you say that that’s not happening. Furthermore, NOT going to jail IS a privilege. Lots of people commit crimes. Some people do not go to jail. Do you think that is luck of the draw? The government CAN go after a man who doesn’t register even if he doesn’t try to take the privileges he hasn’t earned. But it’s unheard of. Even during the draft, draft dodgers were found by correlating the registry with other documents like driver’s licenses and college registrations. There’s never been a case in which the government tracked a man down simply for not registering.
It's only the US that has "selective service", so your complaint doesn't apply to most of the world, the vast majority of males. Can you name something else that's apparently discriminatory?
@Siri137 Reproductive rights. Men have none of that. Which is why I'm against abortion when there is no issue in the healthy birth of the child. Also we get way harder sentences for the same crime. Again something which is unfair and gender biased.
Abuse. Everyone laughs at a guy who gets abused by his girlfriend. Turn that around and all hell breaks lose. Even tough women are more likely to be both the perpetrator of abuse as well as the victim. Most abuse cases are from both sides.
Gender Quotas when hiring. For the same position there are less women with the required degree then there are men which means that since you have to fill in those quotas you will hire someone who doesn't have the degree if necesary or else you pay a fine.
Custody. The chance that the mother gets the child is extremely high even if she has a history of drug abuse and mental disorders while the father has a clean slate.

Did you also know that people who are seen as being ugly also get way harsher sentences for the same crime, and are also far more likely to be found guilty in the first place? And poor people too are more (FAR more) likely to go to jail. And people who have Asperger's Syndrome, and simply because they don't like looking people in the eye, and this is seen as being some sort of "sign of dishonesty", which it certainly is NOT.

This isn't true at all. Women are FAR more likely to be victims of domestic abuse. That is simply a fact. And men are far more likely to be the perpetrators of violent crimes.

The abuse “gap” isn’t nearly as vast as you think and most experts agree due to men having more reasons for not reporting, that it’s very likely nearly equal. Some have made solid arguments for the idea that women are actually more abusive, emotionally and physically. Statistically, men commit more acts of violence, but that data too is inaccurate. For the exact same interaction with a LEO, women are less likely than men to be arrested. When arrested, women are less likely than men to be charged. When charged, women are less likely than men to be convicted. You simply can’t prove that men commit more violent crimes when it’s well recognized that women aren’t held accountable to the same standards. That could very likely be equal as well. Not that you’ll accept any of these facts, let alone fact check them for yourself. You’ve chosen ignorance. You need not return to my response with more of your nonsense. We all know where you stand.
Do you really think it was at all productive to end your little rant here with insults? "Not that you'll accept any of these facts..." If they're FACTS, then YES, I'll accept them. But are they facts? I clicked on your link, and there was a short video of less than two minutes duration. According to that video, one in four women and one in nine men have experienced such violence. There is quite a lot on that page, so where specifically is the information that backs up the claims you make here?
