Does anybody get nervous on first dates?

I have always "felt butterflies" and gotten nervous on first dates. This has still continued into my 40s as well. Does anybody else experience this? I always want to make a good first impression if I can. I always spend even more time on my looks and manners. I love men, but am extra careful not to make a careless mistake on the first date that will leave an impression that is not necessarily true.

Yup. I was always nervous before a first date. I wouldn't date a girl who I wasn't interested in, so I wanted to make a good impression.
Even when we were on the date, I was nervous and was careful with my manners and conversation.

I was nervous on the next couple dates, too, until we became comfortable with each other and got into an exclusive, infatuated relationship.

Slightly however I've not been on enough dates to know lol 😞😆 and I probably just won't ever know in this remainder lifetime hahaha decades to go still merrily and healthily happily

Not anymore. Because I don't expect anything to come of it anymore. I figure "eh, I do this until she ultimately loses interest then I'll move on to the next one".

I think everyone is at least a bit nervous. It's nature's way of keeping you on your toes.
