Why do girls go for guys out of their league but guys usually don’t?

I noticed that even girls who are overweight would go for guys who are super fit or just out of their league looks wise but guys don’t seem to go for girls who are clearly way more attractive than them

No offense but girls tend to be a bit delusional especially in early 20s , guys come in terms to reality a bit sooner because nobody sugarcoats us.

So girls usually only go for the top guys and ignore guys in their league. And when they get rejected multiple times they'll realize that top guys go with top women and vice versa, both of them rarely go for average people of opp. gender.

Because women can often land a guy who would ordinarily be beyond her reach, whereas nowadays, it's typically a real struggle for a guy to attract even someone who just a couple of years ago, he wouldn't have given a second glance to.
