Boyfriend asked for gas money?

So my boyfriend asked me to fill up the tank of his car, I was okay with that as he had picked me up because my car is in the shop. Then he asked me to fill two canisters for his other vehicle. I asked how much that will cost. Then he got upset and told me to forget about all of it.
He doesn’t have a job right now, but he has money to buy drugs and alcohol. Now he’s upset and I don’t know how to make it better. Any advice?

I buy food and in the past I’ve given him cash and paid gas. But now that he doesn’t have a job he tried to stop drugs and drinking but he can’t and he’s doing it every single day.

You need to talk. It'll be hard because it sounds like you are both a bit hurt and pealing back from each other. Say you want to keep it kind. Tones down and everything.
