Would it be weird to go on a double date where everyone else is older?

One of my friends has been chatting online with a guy for a while and they want to meet. For safety, she wants to make it a double date and have both her and him bring a friend, and she's asked me to come with her.

The only problem is that her and her date are both about 5 years older than me. I don't know how old her dates friend is but it's fair to guess that he's also going to be the same age.

I'm fine with going on the date, but I'm a little concerned about being significantly younger than everybody, including my date. Should I agree to go?

If you feel uncomfortable with going on that double date, then refrain from going. You don't even know that person that you will be dating and you have no idea if he is an addict, a criminal or even if he has a wife and children waiting at home.

I would never take a risk to go on a blind date without knowing that person for at least 6 months. There are simply too many dangers, even if that date is a double date. Also, you seem to think that a 5 year gap is too big for you. I do share the same view and if I was in your shoes, I would simply decline because I would not feel safe.

Do whatever your intuition tells you but the fact that you had to ask this question here leads me to believe that your intuition tells you not to go. Follow your intuition.

Wats age but a number I'm 9 years younger than my man so that makes me the youngest one when we're around his friends n I don't give it a second thought

Not weird at all. 5 years age difference is nothing. Besides, age is just a number.

People are people. If you only hang around people your age, you're missing out on 95% of the population.
