1 yI will not date anyone that is still legally married... period. I don't care if they have been separated 10 years. Helping someone cheat is worse then the person cheating.
I started dating about 3 months after my divorce was final. I was not anywhere close to being ready to date (The divorce was not my idea and I didn't want it.). Knowing how I was, I will also not date anyone within 1 year of their divorce being final.

1 yI have and I've seen and it work out. But is a risky thing. Best to understand "where is the relationship". That's more important.
If they are still hanging on by fingernails emotionally, then like the pilot of the airplane said... "bail out bail out"... cause your better off with the parachute!
10 Reply 905 opinions shared on Dating topic. Only if she was 100% ok with it and not having issues with the divorce which would mess up our dates. It might be best to wait till it is over then ease into it. But then again I'm a bit young to be dating a divorcee (M19) Is this something you are contemplating?
10 Reply- 328 opinions shared on Dating topic.
1 yNo. The divorce must be 100% finalized.
Honestly I would also have to agree with why she's getting a divorce, firstly I'm religious and there's only 2 reasons for divorce in the eyes of the church, and secondly I'm pretty young so I'd be curious how she's already divorced.
10 Reply 1.6K opinions shared on Dating topic. That depends, I would certainly be there for her and support her through it. I think they have to settle things without a third party putting it their two cents though. Dating comes after they are over the ithrr one. No need for a three some with the ex if they still have issues with the ex.

1 yDepends. That begins with transparency and truth.
Some exes can be insane, and delay or fight divorce just to spite their ex.10 Reply 3.5K opinions shared on Dating topic. Nope. I didn’t subject anyone to that mess and I certainly wouldn’t subject myself to that sort of situation.

1 yThey have to be fully divorced. No ”separated” bullshit

1 yNope! Not again, anyways lol. You'll get pulled into their drama and it'll most likely end your relationship with them. It's not worth it, trust me.

1 yI dated a guy who was separated but not divorced yet.
20 ReplyHell no. I'm not even dating anyone who's HAD a divorce, let alone in the middle of one
10 Reply2.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. Wait until everything is finalized, while also acknowledging that the odds of leading a successful relationship with someone who's divorced is very slim
11 Reply12.8K opinions shared on Dating topic. Perhaps -- it's better to wait until the divorce is final.

1 yNo, I don’t want that drama in my life… Also I feel like they can’t focus on a future relationship until they finish their sinking ship of the last one.

1 yNo. I would wait till they are finished. It’s usually only a few months, though some people can take years if kids or money are involved.

1 yNever. Not until it's over and done with. I'd be her friend, support her emotionally, but actually dating, no. And that's to benefit her case as well as protecting my self.
00 Reply 566 opinions shared on Dating topic. No, not until their divorce is done and dusted.
