I feel like the video describes me quite well personally.
Particularly the parts about not being desperate for attention or acceptance from others, not trying to please or impress anyone, only wanting a small circle of close friends.
And also just preferring to mostly enjoy time to myself and float in the background of conversations instead of being the spotlight of attention.
And the whole “being rare and often misunderstood” part as well. Perhaps it is a uniqueness of character some people can appreciate, but to others I guess maybe I’m just “weird” or “antisocial” or complicated or something.
And yes, I know my asking this question does imply that I care what others think.
But my motivation for asking is because I’m going to be moving out of my parents house in the near future, not only because I feel like I need more personal space, but also so I can make more serious attempts at dating and building the future for myself that I desire.
Ideally I would like to have a family/marriage/children in the future.
Given human history and development, I hardly think this is a “strange” thing to desire.
But I just wanted to know whether or not these types of guys ever get in relationships, or if basically 95+% of them are just completely single for life.
I know there’s a lot of women nowadays that think guys without a lot of friends are weird or incels or misogynists, but the truth is I don’t really feel hatred towards anyone except those that are hostile towards me (feminists).
But I just didn’t know whether or not there does exist a community of women that appreciate sigmas, or if my statistical odds are so small I might as well not bother pursuing anyone and subjecting myself to dissapointment in the future.
I just don’t know whether or not I have a realistic chance at marriage, or whether or not I’m most likely just going to be subject to a lifetime of dissapointment/depression if I choose to try and pursue this.
