He always listens me and we can talk for hours. He never tried to do some sexual things. But i don't know, is he really thinks that we are soulmate (he says that he is so happy whenever he is with me) or he just want to take control of me? is this an abusive relationship?
Current world is full of wokeness, where people will accuse men of grooming, just because he is older. If he is not doing any sexual stuff I do not see it as grooming. I think he can just like talk to you as soulmate/friend.
Of course you need to be on your guard, but do not be fanatical like those people in comments who judge him negatively just because he was talking to you. You can tell your parents about him for security reasons.
Nowadays even when father kisses his daughter people will shout - grooming. When a granddaughter is seating on grandfather's lap and listens to stories he reeds to her from a book it is also called grooming/rape! This is utter nonsense!
We are living in a anti-culture, which puts everything men do in grooming/rape/sexual assault sack without any bases for such judgement. This is awful.
There is also a possibility that he has fallen in love with you and is waiting for you until you will be 18, 19 or 20 to form a relationship with you. I don't see anything wrong with that, but feminists and woke people will shout their opinions surely.

Without wokeness, America would still have de jure segregation. (See:Mississippi NAACP Leader Medgar Evers,39, who was slain in Evers' Jackson, Miss., backyard by a KKKer June 12,1963.)

@handsomelad70 Wokeness is satanist and evil ideology. You do not need wokness to cancel segregation, like you do not need fascism to love your country, or radical communism to have worker rights. It's better to have segregation or even die than to be woke. Wokeness stands for everything that is opposite to goodness, beauty, justice and truth. One can not worship God/be good person and be woke Wokneess is cancer for mind and soul.
Being woke includes:
* 1) Racism towards white people,
* 2) Believing that one can change sex,
* 3) Radical men-hating feminism,
* 4) Culture of death - abortion and euthanasia,
* 5) Atheism
* 6) Totalitarian ruled society, in which you must obey or be canceled; strong propaganda,
* 7) Rejection of objective truth, historical truth, logic, etc...,
* 8 ) Glorification of disabilities, victimisation, fatness, mediocrity and so on instead of positive values, hard work and virtues, rejection of beauty and aesthetics, - 1 y
* 9) Deep socialism,
* 10) Forced unification (everything needs to include mixed races, mixed cultures) and destruction of real diversity in the world,
* 11) Rejection of any moral authorities (including teachers and parents for children).
* 12) Promotion of egoism
* 13) Sexualization of children; inclusion of sex in entertainment, and many others aspects of life.
* 15) Inclusion of artificial problems like "cultural appropriation","racism towards orcs" in RPG fantasy games and so on,
* 16) Social "justice". Injustice based on premise that some people can be discriminated freely based on the grounds of their richness, skills, power, etc... If you are white men you can be discriminated because you are considered an enemy of the system. (REMEMBER: ""Justice and social justice are as similar to each other like a comfy armchair to an electric chair." Janusz Korwin-Mikke)
* 17) Exaggerated ecology and promotion of its bad conclusions: ordering the extermination of cattle, prohibiting meat, dairy and egg industries, shutting down production, forcing (not promoting) people to use things like electric cars, neglecting the pollution from China and other non Eoropean/USA parts of the world. - 1 y
OK, some I wholeheartedly agree with, others are in Cloud Cuckooland.

Sixteen and twenty-three is away off the mark and he would have nothing in common with a 16 year old

1 yI get that legal in the UK but doesn't mean its right. A 23 year old should know better than to date a year old and it's giving vibes of dating younger girls because women his own age knows better than to date him.
Your only a baby and you still need lots of time to grow and develop as a person and shouldn't be in a relationship with a gut that age sorry its wrong men that age should be dating others around that age but dating a girl who still wears a school uniform and taking GCSEs.
He also said he want to control you sorry that don't sound right to me.
What does your parents think of this

1 yif i'm that age in my country it is fourth-year high school, the last year of high school. we then have 4 years for college. 23 is already pass college so my mind would be if i am on her age the gut is already old. i am a very safe type of person but bot too aafe that I don't know how to figjt. that for me is dangerous hanging out that older when i am 16
the age gap is actually not bad if you reach 20 years old. anyway to answer the question does he love you? maybe. but me personally i would find him a creep.00 Reply

1 yThe minute you said “ he wants to to take control of me” that raised alarm bells of concern because I don’t want you to be in the situation where he’s controlling you it’s not a healthy relationship if he is doing that and you need to get out of it asap it’s not safe
30 Reply881 opinions shared on Dating topic. he's sus. as a 23yo, anyone my age who's into 16yos is not okay and for sure has a mental problem. red flag. i can't say if he actually likes you for real or is just grooming you to be his future young manipulable docile girlfriend or sex partner. but regardless of wether he actually likes you, you shouldn't be talking to grown ass man his age. if you like older guys go hit up 17-19yos not someone 7 years older that isn't right in the head

1 yQuestion: Do your parents know about this relationship? If no one else knows, then you need to only see this man in public places. He has no business spending time with a 16 year old girl in private places. The difference in experience is major and even if his intentions are not inappropriate, being alone with you is. Unintended things can and do happen in circumstances like this.

1 yUgh, this is disgusting. Please listen, this man is dangerous and is actively grooming you. What would a man 7 years older than you want to do with you besides groom you. Would you want to be with a 9 year old? That’s the age equivalent. He does not love you, he doesn’t want to “protect you” , he isn’t your soulmate. He’s a disgusting predator who wants to date a teenage girl because girls his age know better than to be around him. Please run
00 Reply8.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. I was 22 and dated a girl who was17. I sort of knew that maybe she was too young for me but I really felli n love with her.
I knew that we would not have sex because she was too young and I was okay with that. It really was not creepy and while it lasted it was a pretty nice relationship.

1 yI don't think a 23 yr. old should be dating a teenager. It'd be different if you were 18 or 19, but 16 isn't even legal. I would think he'd be wanting to date someone else in their 20s at least.

1 yA guy that old should be dating someone his old age. Just my 2 cents worth.

1 yas long as you have family support, friends, open communication and have your life... then he isn't trapping you.
he shouldn't be dating a 16yr old... in my world, too young.
00 Reply 3.9K opinions shared on Dating topic. Abusive? Only you can tell that based on what he’s doing to you. But he’s def grooming you for something — look up GIGI (1958 movie)…
00 ReplyWarning, warning... he wants to be more than friends. Just be very careful

he's doing what any normal boyfriend would be doing if he truly loves his girlfriend
00 Reply720 opinions shared on Dating topic. If he is grooming you, he is only 23 so he probably doesn't have a lot of experience doing it. Odds are he isn't.

Anonymous(45 Plus)1 yWell he probably doesn't "love" you. You're 16 (no offense). But that doesn't necessarily mean he's grooming you. I'd definitely be on your guard. Ask yourself why isn't he dating a woman his age.
10 Reply3K opinions shared on Dating topic. Look you're not an idiot, you know that he's probably into you but he's treating you well and if you're careful then you might have a actual good guy on your hands.
00 Reply4.5K opinions shared on Dating topic. I don't think so. My girlfriend works with people who are in a similar situation except the girl is older, although I thunk she 21. The guy is the same age as you.

@Juxtapose grooming can happen at any age. Legal or not doesn't matter
- 1 y
@Juxtapose 16 year olds have the right to consent to other people there own age. The law wasn't made like that for them to be consenting to adults
- 1 y
@Juxtapose anyone can be groomed especially when emotions/love are involed it's very easy to trick someone like that regardless of age
- 1 y
@Juxtapose that is acutally why consent laws were made. Anyone younger than that shouldn't be having sex even with same age because of the risks
- 1 y
@Juxtapose when kids are going through puberty at 8 that's a hell of a long time for them to wait. I think most kids break those rules. At least I did. Not that I'd encourage it
- 1 y
@Juxtapose the only thing I find weird is 16 is consent in many places but if someone has a nude pic of a 16 year old it's considered child porn yet they can have sex? I don't understand those rules
- 1 y
@Apple1996 the law has plenty of instances of arbitrary bullshit like that.
In Ohio Marijuana is legalized but only if you grow it. And you can't grow it in most apartments so effectively only home owners are allowed to smoke weed. People voting to legalize marijuana wanted far more than that. - 1 y
@Juxtapose that's crazy to have to grow it yourself 😂 I live in NY so weed is available everywhere
Asker1 y@Juxtapose well actually i'm still a minor in my country. until 18

030 Reply- 1 y
Jail for what? They didn't do anything
- 1 y
Grooming he is sick
- 1 y
That's not illegal they would have to have sex for him to go to jail. Simply talking is not not illegal. You and your gender prejudices are sick
- 1 y
Age of consent is 16 anyways so it's not illegal
- 1 y
It's not a prejudice it's a fact and consent isn't 16 in most countries. Plus what kind of sad 23 year old after a kid in school.
- 1 y
It is actually... Do a Google search.
You think 18 year olds are babies.
I think you are just exaggerating because it's a girl. So it is some kind of bias or prejudice. - 1 y
She is 16 not 18 big difference. And 18 year olds are young dumb and immature just like everyone you live grow learn .
- 1 y
Lol yeah you are exaggerating and treating them as kids. Defo a bias
- 1 y
- 1 y
Id same if it's a woman grooming a young guy so shove your sexist bull shit. Hater ya dam right don't like pervey people. Can't get a girl normal age because he has nothing to offer
- 1 y
It's none of your business. You know nothing about them. You are just assuming
- 1 y
Can read between the lines pretty.
- 1 y
You sure do lol
- 1 y
Well I'm fella more insight to male mind only one reason guy talks to a girl.
- 1 y
You still don't know anything about him or her
- 1 y
Said nothing about the girl. Know how men work. And don't think we ever agree on this subject
- 1 y
Yeah I think it's ignorant to assume things about people
- 1 y
There is no reason for a 23 year old guy to be talking to teens unless there family
- 1 y
You mean under 18...
- 1 y
Under 18 I class them all as teens
- 1 y
18 is adult so he can talk with them however he wants there's a difference
- 1 y
You feel different if it was your child
- 1 y
Not really I don't care
- 1 y
You say that but your child is completely different. Say that day don't know if it's true no kids yet
- 1 y
I don't care about a 5 year age gap. I am not a prude like you
- 1 y
If she was 18 it's different not when it's a teenage
- 1 y
18 is teen
- 1 y
She is 16
- 1 y
Still legal but I understand how people think it's wrong. If nothing sexual happens I don't care
