Does he actually love me?

There’s this guy that I have been off and on with for the last few years. I’ve broken up with him twice, once because I wasn’t ready for a serious relationship and the other time because he sent n*des to another girl. Recently, we’ve started talking again and both have admitted that we have always had feelings for one another, but were always afraid of the other’s rejection. We were texting the other night and I teased him about having an attitude (which he really wasn’t), and his response was “You love me.” We went back and forth a little bit more and I said “Well, you know you love me, too.” And he answered “Yeah, I know that. It’s you who didn’t.” He’s also accused me of enjoying the banter between us and how I don’t realize how close we are mentally and how we compliment each other. There’s a lot more stuff I could say about us, but all of this was just really confusing. I need answers, please.
