I am a 19 year old who is commonly mistaken for a 25 year old. My moms dentist referred to me as her husband one time because my mom is 42 and she looks 29

a 20 and a 30 year old could look just the same and you wouldn't even know...

a 30 and 40 year old could look the same... and you wouldn't even know either

a 40 and a 50 year old could also look the same... and people would not know about ages

people do not really go around guessing ages like that at first impression, because there's just so many factors involved that will affect and have an effect on these perceptions both, for good and for bad... I am quite sure that many or most women will have more substantial things to care for, other than your beard, lol

I would rather a guy who looked younger. I've had people telling me that I look younger than I am, so I guess that if I dated a man who looked older would be weird.

Hearing that from your mom's dentist must have been hard. I once had a man that my father knew asking him if I was his wife. Mind you that my father is 60. It was disgusting. So I know how you felt.

This is very subjective. I would prefer a guy who looks like a man not a boy with or without a small beard. I prefer stubble or groomed facial hair over anything longer. Regardless of age. Tho some men pull off beards. Many don't. in my opinion.

It just depends on how old I am. Right now, it could go either way. I'd probably go with older, mostly because people would see it as weird if I'm with someone that much younger. But if I were 50 then I would probably go with younger.
