Why am I soo cruel to the ones who love me?

I like a guy. And he likes me back more. Now I’m extremely cruel and rude to him. I know I’m wrong but I can’t help.

I treat him doormat. I indirectly told him to leave me and acts cruel so that he removes himself. but somewhere deep I love him
