Many times, yes. I don't know why this observation trips so many people up, but when they say opposites attract, they don't mean polar opposites.

You need to have a lot in common with your partner to have a relationship with them. When they say "opposite" they're talking about stuff like introvert/extrovert.

I agree for the most part. But even if i were an introvert for example, i’d want to be with someone introverted like myself. I notice being with the same always makes one of us a little bolder and helps bring the other out of their shell

i think it can be very beneficial if your strengths and weaknesses are perfectly ballanced by opposite strengths and weaknesses of your partner. however i would say more generally "opposites" do not attract. cause you gotta have a bunch of things in common. or else you have nothing to relate with each other.

Im attracted to the opposite sex but i still want them to have similar features and personality traits to myself. So i only think the opposite comes into play in regards to me being a woman who wants a man. Other then that, i prefer he be similar to myself

I personally also believe the more similarities you have the more compatible you are. There is one thing I think you should be opposites on and it relates to sexual compatibility. If I'm a Dom, then the girl should be a sub. 2 doms and 2 subs don't really work as much.
