Why did good mainly happen when I was dating my ex?

When I was dating my ex I had all kinds of guys interested in me and I was able to get hired at jobs immediately. If I quit a job for 2 weeks I could get hire in 2 more weeks instantly. Then people wanted to be my friend. Unlike now where I am desperate for 1 friend and people just pass me by. It couldn't have been been makeup because there were times where o had no makeup on and my hair was not straighten. I was also able to get money randomly whenever I needed it. Now that he's gone it's like all my blessings are gone. Now he was using me for money and sucking me dry but despite of him being a snake all kinds of good things were happening.
