I'm 19 years old and I've never had a girlfriend in my life, and I don't think I'll ever have one because damn it I can't meet girls, I haven't met a new girl in over a year, in fact I'm so fucked up that I don't even have a single girl with whom I have a normal friendship. Is something wrong with me? I'm not scared of girls or I don't think I have social anxiety or anything, I just can't meet girls, I can't get to the point, I think it's because I'm inexperienced. I attend social events but I come back without meeting any girl, I can't start a topic.

Dude don't stress so much, you're only 19! Tons of guys your age haven't had girlfriends yet.

It's normal to feel inexperienced, but that doesn't mean there's something wrong with you. Meeting girls just takes practice like any skill. A few tips:

- Start with talking to girls like you would friends - ask about their classes, hobbies, music they like etc. Having a convo takes pressure off "scoring a date."

- Listen as much as you talk. People love talking about themselves, so let girls share and show you care.

- Smile, make eye contact and try to seem relaxed even if you're nervous inside. Fake it til you make it!

- Introduce yourself to girls who look approachable at parties or activities you both attend. "Hey I'm ___, what's your name?"

- Don't be afraid to ask for Snapchat or Instagram if you click with someone. Easy way to chat more later.

Rome wasn't built in a day. Just focus on getting more comfortable around girls, not rushing for a relationship. One will come as you put yourself out there. You got this bro!

Events aren't quite enough. You need to find something to do that is near women who are also doing something. Workplace bonds inevitably lead to flirting. And volunteer work tends to attract a slightly disproportionate number of younger women - though older men have caught on to this and so often show up, too..

You're too young to be worrying about one year alone... Just make a more concentrated effort to put yourself out there. Be more particular about the type of social events you're going to. Try to attend with friends so you're not just moping in the corner at an event (which is what a lot of guys complaining about this sort of thing actually do, while claiming to be socializing).

Everyone goes at their own pace. You need to figure out more about yourself and learn how to approach and start conversations with girls.

Don't rush and don't stress. It'll all happen in due time.

sure you can take some responsibility for the things within your control

that being said, the majority isn't always right so beware

for example all the girls in the world could believe 2+2=5 and only I believe 2+2=4. in that case, I ain't wrong and I ain't taking responsibility for that
