The thing is when you get a tattoo you have made a permanent decision often for a temporary fancy. It says something about your judgment.
Also a beautiful girl getting tattoos is like putting bumper stickers on a Ferrari. Most guys won’t say anything and/or “pretend” they like it but most men don’t like it Some really do but they are in a minority. But a woman’s body is naturally beautiful and this scares it all up.
Not to say all tattoos are bad decisions nor nor is everyone who gets a tattoo a bad person. But still says something to the world about how you think. Especially if you get a lot of them, if they are highly visible or if they are really stupid/horrible.
Also I can forgive people for young and dumb mistakes. Tattoos can be removed (but not easily). But if it’s a recent bad decision that means something.
I don't get the whole tattoo thing. Like, why put whatever it is on their body - permanently? Why not just get a picture or a poster and hang it up on the wall or get something temporary? I can't think of anything I would want permanently etched into my skin, unless it was a wedding ring, medical information or allergies or something like that.
I don't personally mind as much if the tattoo is from the young and dumb years. But I kind of view it as a teenage or college thing/immature. The one exception is a motorcycle club guy or MMA fighter; I think it's more of a cultural thing with them, in which case that's different.
I'll just say they tend to fall to the bottom of the pack when swiping...
If someone has tattoos, especially terrible ones, it tells me a lot about their critical thinking skills - it's like having test scores written on their forehead. I appreciate their honesty, letting me know up-front that I can take a pass on them as a relationship partner.
I wish people were as open about other things - it would make the vetting process even easier.
I hate tattoos so any girl with any tattoo... anywhere... of anything is automatically a no. She would have never been long term girlfriend or wife material. A fling maybe but that tattoo would have knocked her out of girlfriend/wife category. No exceptions.
I would have dumped any girlfriend when went out and marked herself with ink permanently.
My wife has no tattoos. We are compatible. She isn't into that in any way.
I picked depends on how bad it looks based on the pictures as examples. I found them all unattractive, but I only saw some as offensive. I'm weird for a Millennial in that I don't like tattoos at all. I think our natural bodies are beautiful and that tattoos often actually interfere with being able to clearly see muscle definition, for instance. Or they don't go well with some clothing.
I've yet to meet a woman whom I would say I was THAT compatible with, who had the perfect personality for me and who looked fabulous YET had an awful tattoo. It's just a combination I don't encounter. For starters, I'm not into tats. Odds are if a woman is too tatted up, I'm not going to be attracted. If she's got just the one really bad tat, still a pass.
My husband has his ex tattooed on his chest 🤣 I’m over seeing ‘Stephanie’ every night. He’s trying to cover it but kinda hard since it’s solid black words without putting a box.
Nah, let's me know they're dumb. That perfect personality then becomes a perfectly crafted personality. I want someone real who's also got a good amount of common sense.
