I distrust others based on a double system of evidence and also cautious self protective boundary rules. I think it’s okay to question a person’s character if trusting them puts your life or the lives of others in danger but I do not speculate about possible moral failures if trusting somebody does not put my life in danger unless there is evidence they have issues.
From the start.
Why get into a relationship if there is no, or very little, trust at the start?
Beside that... Everyone will have my Trust at the 'onset'... Same as that I call every guy a 'Brother'. Depending how things go after that, Trust remains or is being broken (same as that I either keep consider a guy a brother or not).
However, once Trust has been broken... there is no way back.
Why only a guy a Brother and not a girl a 'Sister'?
My last relationship was hell (Emotional Abuse); I still trust women, I still adore women... but 'naturally' I am somewhat 'reserved' towards female. Don't get me wrong, you still get all the best I have to offer, I will show love and care, I will help you as best as I can... but I am looking for 'male companionship' as in a 'Brotherhood', likeminded men to 'hang out' with. Brothers are not necessarily friends, but there is mutual respect and looking out for each other. That's what I am looking for.
And what I have found in Skinhead; we may seem a tough bunch, some may even think 'Scumbags', but we are not... sure, we may be a bit 'rough around the edges'; but we care, we love, we look out for each other, we cry and mourn together: This is what Brotherhood means to me
Well before they become your partner they have to earn your trust. Once they have your trust and become your partner then they have it until they do things to lose it. Isn't that common sense?
Trust has to be earned, and that takes some time.

I don't see it as guilty until proven innocent, but trust needs to be earned, ie, it takes time to get to know someone and see if you really connect
