Girls, So I’d like to know especially since these days it’s hard to approach women out in the real world how would you like real men to approach you?

I know it’s harder these days since some men not all approach women the wrong way. I never approach one because I fear she will reject me real fast. So give me some hints and advice on how I could start a friendly conversation with someone I find attractive in real life.

My biggest piece of advice is that if I look busy then I probably am and not a great time to approach me. I get it all the time as a bartender. I'm rushing around trying to get drinks for the 20 or so people waving money or credit cards in my face and shouting what they want but it never fails that I have one moron asking for my number or trying to make small talk. Wrong time. If I were sitting at the local coffee shop reading a book? Right time. I can put the book down and gladly give somebody my attention. I know what you are thinking... but you are busy reading! Yeah true but that is leisure and not work or trying to grocery shop or hail a cab or catch a bus or... you get it.

Hmm local coffee shops and reading books. I think if she’s wearing headphones still. I most likely wouldn’t approach you. You got music going and the last thing you want is someone to like tap you right

I don't listen to music and read. No one does. If someone has music on then they are in their own little world and leave them be. My example is different.

First, don't approach me unless I smile and say, "Hi" or otherwise indicate I am willing to be approached by you. If I do that, you can approach and say almost anything such as, "Hi, I think you are cute, may I have your phone number?" or "Do you have time for a cup of coffee?" I wouldn't have smiled and said hi if I was not going to be receptive to your approaching and speaking to me.

It depends if it's online or in person, however typically it starts out with a greeting and a simple question. I don't like "come on lines" and prefer a natural conversation. I rarely put much stock in the initial meeting, though, because guys aren't always what they seem to be at first glance.

Give me a scenario and I'll suggest a possible convo starter, however it's MUCH better if you're just in the moment and letting the words come to you, esp at your age... You're not a little kid dating or flirting for the first time.

Oh, that's happened to me, actually. The guy was jogging and sat on the bench with me to relace his shoe.

He asked if he could sit and of course I said sure.

He said something like he hopes I don't mind his taking off his shoes... and spent a sec explaining something about his shoe that I can't remember. I said it was fine... and I know sneakers can be a little annoying.

He asked how I knew that... and was I an athlete bc I have the figure for it... and which sneakers I'd recommend for jogging in this area bc the terrain is different than it was back home for him.

I told him about a nice college campus track space that was open to the public and he asked if I could show it to him sometime...

Smooth operator, that one.

It was sweet though. He just asked for my number n if I wanted to meet up sometime.

Unfortunately, headed off to school a ways away in a few weeks, so not good timing.

Men seem to have no problem approaching me. Just be friendly, and some humour can go a long way.
