Is “it’s your loss” an immature way of handling a woman no longer wanting to date you?

After a few months of dating a guy I told him that I no longer wanted to date him because when we’d disagree he’d automatically start yelling. This last disagreement when he started yelling, I asked him, why was he yelling and he said because he felt like it. The disagreements have been minor and not a big enough deal to yell but he can’t seem to help himself. Even when I’ve asked him not to yell at me because it’s a trigger he then accuses of me of trying to mother him when I’m simply letting him know that he can express himself without the yelling and accusing me of making him yell. So, I’ve had enough and told him that I was done and wished him well. He called me childish, controlling and said it was my loss. I actually feel justified in not wanting to move forward now because, “wtf?”. But, I’m open to other opinions on if you guys (or gals) think he was being immature or if I overreacted. Thank you. 😊
