Physical looks do matter, but how much it matters to a person is highly subjective. To some it holds little importance but to someone else it could hold equal or more importance. Depends from person to person be it man or a woman.

Looks does have importance but it depends on the woman and I know it gets seen as a cliche but there are women out there who aren't too picky.
