Why do men tell me I'm beautiful, but no guys ask for my number?

I've been single for three years. Men stare at me or they compliment my eyes then tell me I'm beautiful, yet no guy actually dives deeper.

I'm awkward and an introvert, so it is not easy for me to approach men. The men I work with are married. I don't have friends who can hook me up.

I tried online dating and was told I don't have a personality a few time 🙃... or the guys never seem to want to go beyond chatting, so I stopped online dating.

I tried social dinners and again, stares, second or third looks from guys, compliments but nothing beyond.

I can't speak for other men. I am not a woman’s first choice, so I don't try to talk to women that I believe will reject me. Men have a ego as fragile as an egg. We protect our ego by not approaching women when we feel that rejection is certain.
