I don’t usually look for a rebound, but I’m so tempted to get on a dating app. I’m not looking to use anyone but I was in a relationship that I pretended to be happy in so I really want to meet someone that can make me feel special again at least temporarily if that’s all they will be around for. A man approached me yesterday and asked for my number and I told him I wanted to take things slowly but he’s only texted me once since then. I need to thinking rationally but I don’t want to be one right now
1 ySo you just got out of a relationship. First of all bummer sorry that happened. Secondly jumping into the dating scene right now might not be the best idea.
Three solid reasons why:
Firstly your real raw right now, Jumping into something so immediately is; because you don’t want to be lonely and i so get that. The drowning person cleaning to anyone they can for a hope and a prayer or at least it can feel that way. That said loneliness is just loneliness and you don’t have to choose to be lonely. Personally, I suggest hobbies many that involve other people. Sign up for sports, Theater, Cooking classes, Pick up any skill. You’re only lonely; because you don’t know what to do with yourself, and you feel trapped in your own home. The world is scary I get it, but you still have to go out into it to live life. Also know being alive does not count as living life. It’s just counts as being alive. but who knows that might not be your problem.
Which brings me to number two. “Sexual frustration” Oh no, he didn’t. Yes, he did; because it’s a human reality. Might I add one that’s completely natural, A part of life mentioned in number one, and short of becoming a person of the cloth and being devout to God, and or whatever religious ideology you may believe in, I’m guessing wanted. So no worries Everybody has the right to their own Desires. Well, to an extent anyways. At one point or another too much of a good thing Is in reality bad. So with that in mind if you really are just looking for sex, you’ll probably find it on the app. In fact, there’s a woman you’re more likely than not just by biologically to be successful at finding someone to have sex with. That said do so safely Birth control, condoms, common sense.
That’s a note I give everybody.
Which brings me to the last thought. Pesky number three we’ll call it. Your impulse control is highly damaged right right now. Not only do you need one and two but you need the fix of being treated well by somebody else. Bringing concern to the mentality that you may not know how to treat yourself well and somehow cling to other people to define how you should treat yourself. This is a tough issue, but I bring it up because there’s always the possibility. if this is the case, I suggest therapy, exercise, and distraction in the form of hobbies. it’s important to recognize that it’s very common that people don’t know how to treat themselves correctly without other people, and using those three methods you will definitely find a better path. For now, though sometimes we have to ride the wave out. It’s OK you don’t have to immediately jump into anything, and jumping into anything is part of the reason the 60s and 70s were riddled with aids.
So those are my three grandiose guesses they may be right they may be wrong. They may be impart, correct but only in part. They may all apply all at the same time which I’m guessing yes to some degree or another.
It’s OK to want a life, company, friendship, and even a relationship. But don’t just keep jumping from person to person thinking that somebody else in your life is going to fix the issues of your life. If it’s just sexual fine, do whatever be safe. But you really just can’t stand the thought of being with yourself for however long then there is a problem and it’s important to recognize it and handle it before going into any other relationship.
More it’s additional baggage to a system that is already difficult. Relationships are hard. So maybe consider getting rid of some of that baggage before diving in again. Also, if you’re thinking to, I get where he’s coming from I really do but at the same time I’m horny. Which again is just a guess. It’s OK to be horny. They make toys for that. Go to any CVS. That said it’s not OK to just jump into bed randomly with someone who you hardly know nor will it ever generally be OK. Do people do it? Yes. is that OK? Not really.
I promise you one thing, though above all other things that anyone could ever promise you on this planet earth 🌍. if you do choose the path of just working on yourself, ultimately, you will always find someone who fits within that. instead of you forcing yourself to fit within somebody else’s life. I employ you to just take time for yourself.
Well, that is my full opinion and I genuinely hope that it helped. if you would like to continue this discussion, feel free to follow me.
All said and ultimately, I do wish you luck and whatever you may come your way.

1 yThe answer is simply don’t do it you don’t know whose on there and there’s lots of people who pretend to be people they're not. This is people who want to do you harm, it’s scammers, and it’s people just wanting sex. You don’t know who someone is online it could literally be anyone. There’s lots of VERY angry dudes on there too who aren’t getting attention who could harm you.
There is also the risk of seeing someone you know in real life on there and seeing your profile.
Take some time before jumping into something. Wait until you find someone you genuinely feel attracted to. Wanting to be happy is great but you’re better being alone in peace then with someone who makes you miserable.
You’ll be much happier waiting for the right person to come along because what happens if you’re with a temporary fix and the right person comes along? They’re gonna see you’re with someone else and loose interest. It also can really hurt someone if they feel they have a genuine connection and they’re just to bring you happiness.
Nobody else can just make you happy you can’t rely on someone to make you happy. It sounds harsh and absolutely the right person does bring happiness and joy into your life.

1 yIf you're over your past relationship, there's nothing wrong with dating even immediately after a break up. Everyone moves on at different rates. People process things differently. I've always been good a couple days after a break up or even immediately ready to date.
Some people take months to even years to get over it. My advice... just do you. If you're confident you won't be thinking about your ex much, then I say go for it.10 Reply - 3.5K opinions shared on Dating topic.
1 yA dating app is an easy way to meet new people. Be careful though, there are some fake accounts and some weird people on dating apps. Just do your homework Be sure to have some discussions with anyone before you agree to meet in person.

Give yourself some breathing room.10 Reply590 opinions shared on Dating topic. Take time to heal. If you pretended to be happy, I’m sure there was some damage done. The worse thing to do is to jump from relationship to relationship. If you can’t be satisfied single, you’ll never be satisfied in a relationship.

Anonymous(30-35)1 yI'm debating that myself. I think if you weren't really happy then why not? For me, it's hard because I was really in love with him and he broke up with me. So the next guy will probably be a rebound.

Asker1 yI was in love or in deep like with him too. He ghosted and broke up with me too. Sorry you are going through that. I was happy as long as we were together but when we weren’t I saw that we weren’t perfect
