What do you think is the max acceptable age gap when the guy is older?

Obviously I’m asking because I have casual and long term relationships with women younger than me. But when should I start increasing the min age for them. Right now the youngest has been 24 years younger.

Like you... I have casuals with big age gaps. I guess biggest has been 26 years gap. Tho most often it's about 22 years gap. If it's just sex and short term? Meh. Why not. As long as they seem mature enough and be making their own decision (I. e not like you persuading them with constant persistence and manipulation).

For an actual relationship tho? I think their are factors to consider such as would they really stick it out long term as you age? And what stage are you at with family choices?

I'd never never get with a guy wanting kids because I'm done. I am free and don't need or want more kids. That pretty much rules out most guys under 35. If a guys in there 40's and no kids.. then ok. He's probably open to never having kids. So for me a gap of ten years lower is my max. But for you? You could prob extend that a bit. But I'd say generally ten years either way is max.

Depends on both parties involved but as long as both are legal consenting adults it’s fine. My age preference is definitely men my age however I’m open to dating no younger than 34 and no older than 50 (although everyone I know thinks I shouldn’t date younger than 50).

I see 10 years in either direction as the maximum. Granted, don't date underage people, but at 29+ don't go below 10 years your junior. The thing is that as you get older, if your age preferences don't also raise, you'll be dating people at different points in their life. A former coworker of my fiancée was 17 and dating a girl in college. I figured the relationship would fail, because they're at different points in their lives. She's already looking at what she wants to get a degree in to enter the workforce. He, in contrast, still needs to take the ACT or SAT to apply to college.

Assuming both parties are mentally, emotionally stable, then I think it's very improbable to maintain a long-term relationship when your views on life will indubitably clash, as Crimsy said. That doesn't mean the relationship doesn't worth it, because value is completely subjective.

@Drewtate for me it is usually with in 10 years or less. Otherwise, you have very little in common, you have to explain everything to them, and they have to do the same for you.

If people like each other and can make a relationship work, then that's all you need.
