If your ex seems too happy to see you, if they seem jealous when you find someone else, every time a relationship ends they come running to you, they keep spreading roomers to make you look bad so that they dont look like the one who lost something either to themselves or to others maybe both.

They keep pestering you even when you told that person you want nothing to do with them. Trying to make you jealous all the time.

They keep flirting. Maybe it’s the opposite way where they hate you it means they still haven’t gotten over you if it’s been over a long period of time

When a girl friend or an ex gets jealous over me meeting someone else , they aren’t happy that I met someone else , they will sometimes confess the truth about how they felt about you , after you met someone else , basically after it’s too late , why people should be more open and honest about their feelings for someone as soon as possible instead of waiting and assuming the other person is a mind reader.

- They always says they miss me and start reminiscing of the good times.

- They panic when they find out am in a new relationship (even though they are married).

- The attraction is still very much there

- Their parents always have good to say about me and still inform me of their lives

If you brought authenticity to the relationship, I would think... Maybe you could tell by whether the friends around a relationship are genuinely sad that it didn't work out.

I'm not sure that other people really get to decide who the one that got away is... My guess is that whether someone is the one that got away depends on how you reminisce on the relationship.

There was a girl that my mom believes is the "one that got away". My brother saw this girl at a mall and she was happy to see my brother and was asking him about me and how I was doing. We weren't boyfriend/girlfriend and she married someone else. I did ask her out though she was already in a relationship with a baby on the way few months later.

Well, when i'll be with another woman which we both know, and you see her happy, and every now and then talks about me in general... Then you'll know that I'm The One that Got Away!
Same goes for the opposite sex too.
