I am in a relationship with this guy who's 3 years elder to me.. We went on a movie date where he paid money for the tickets.. But I initiated and paid for the lunch on that day.. After a few days, we went to a cafe where the moment he entered, he said that he doesn't have any money so he won't eat anything, I offered him to eat, so he almost ate an entire pizza and I paid the money.. Yesterday also we went to a cafe, we ordered sandwiches and he ate all of them, I just took a bite because I wasn't in the mood, and after eating, he said to me that he hasn't got any money, he looked a little embarrassed and said that he'll carry money from next time.. I did not make an issue about it and I just went ahead and paid the money.. The problem here is that he comes from a respectable family, he has money to buy protein powder for himself, but he doesn't have any money to pay on our dates.. Is he fooling me?

I mean there's not much you have to do to prepare for a date as a guy other than to pick some clothes make sure you're presentable and have some cash and your card on you.

If he forgetts it once okay can happen but if I had that happen to me I would be emberassed and for sure wouldn't forgett it a second time. Either he doesn't have his shit toghether or he likes getting treated.

Anyways I would still go on a third one of you like the guy and see how that goes, maybe him forgetting it twice was just really really bad luck.

That comes across as major red flags.
A guy with his life and finances together, will organize the money for the dates, even when he has very little money. If a guy ca t afford a date, he should be straightforward and plan with you, for a time when he does.

Never date anyone who can't take responsibility for himself. It works for girls and guys, if your partner can’t even pay foods for themselves just let them find a job or do extra job to make money. It seems relationship is not for them that time.
