Is he bullshitting me?

So a guy that I haven't see since I dated a friend of his back in high school texted me this weekend. He's 29 no kids has a good paying job. Anyways so he told me he's been waiting for me since that day he met me he has tried dating but it never worked out because it wasn't me. He keeps asking me to be his girlfriend and told me if I wanted to get married tomorrow we could. He wants to treat me like a queen and be a good step father to my kids that I already have. I'm thinking this is too good to be true and I should not believe anything he's told me or should I? Should I believe everything he's told me? I'm so conflicted on what to do. Anyone have any insight? Am I missing something? Or is this something I feel like I should kick to the curb?

If you haven't talked to this guy since high school, he should have just asked you out on a date. Not ask you to be his girlfriend, let alone his wife.
He shouldn't be thinking you're the love of his life if you two have never been romantically involved or never spent a lot of time together.
Trust your instincts. If it feels like a weird situation that you are questioning, then get rid of him.
If you don't listen to me and go out with him, tell one of your friends who it is you are going out with.

To jump in something serious that fast I don't know. High school is way behind you, and what do you know about him now, he could change as person... If you like him I would advice that you go easy into that, meet each other, talk about that time you haven't see each other and go slowly. This is something serious for which I think should be approached smart and steady, GL! :D
