My parents don't want me going out with someone outside of my own race, should I listen?

I'm 22 years old, never had a boyfriend, literally have been saving myself for the right guy... I'm a hopeless romantic. I'm white and guys in my own race are pretty much never attracted to me. Like they're never interested in me. Guys outside of my own race however though are. I met a guy speed dating that was nice but he's half black half muslim. I didn't think anything on it but when I called my parents about it they were really upset. Like very very mad. And they said "well you can go on a few dates maybe but no getting serious because of his race. I don't really want to go out with a guy that I don't have a potential future with. But I'm also tired of waiting around for a white guy to sweep me off my feet because they are literally never looking in my direction. It's entirely out of my control and I'm unsure how to proceed. Like I really really want to be in a relationship. I'm genuinely so lonely I've been like spiraling over it.
