Is this girl wrong for saying this to me on hinge?

It says on my profile, ‘What I look for in another person’ and I put, ‘beauty, down to earth and good connection.’
She said, ‘hey, I like most of your profile but beauty as a green flag? You can do better than that!’

I find that weird because who’s she to tell me what I should want.

Whatever this hinge business is, you can basically say whatever you want as long as it is not insulting.

I presume that this hinge is a pick-up site according to the wording of your question.

Obviously, she sees you as a more superficial person because you seem to place beauty above a number of other assets in a woman. It simply means that she disagrees with you on that beauty issue because beauty is so totally subjective.

To me, if someone mentions beauty in a profile, then I know that that person is not interested in other assets such as personality, character or intellect and that would put that person in the off-side right away.

She is not wrong, she simply has a different approach as you do.

Maybe she's just overweight and self conscious about it? Like those girls who use edited photos on those apps, but are actually just overweight. She could be concerned that you won't be into her when you find out what she really looks like.

It’s certainly an opinion I assume some people have. I don’t see a problem with looking for a partner who is attractive.
