How come attractive guys are nicer to me while "unattractive" guys aren't when trying to date?

I've been trying to put myself out there to date even make cold approaches and go on dates from online. With online dating I try to lower my standards maybe the guy is changing careers/doesn't know what he's doing - not making enough as me I make 3 figures and he's short and sometimes even bald. But those guys are so mean to me on dates, one even got up after 30 minutes and just left. But when I talk to guys I'm attracted to and approach IRL they are nice and receptive I get so weirded out I end conversations even if they act interested. Because to me it doesn't make sense why are they more receptive to me than the guys that are average Joe's or below that have behaved very mean on dates some even passive aggressively making remarks about my weight.

How do I from here?

Maybe its the typical online dating frustration or they dont think of themselves that highly and tend to be more negative because of it which leads to such situation. They think bec they dont like themselves everyone else does the same and is even secretly making fun of them. Ever heard of the term napoleon complex?

You cold approaching guys is an untapped market, happens so rarely even to attractive ones that they are flattered. I tend to think of myself as slighty above average on good days and I can count the amount of women who cold approached me in life on one hand. My best friend who is still not a super model but very succesfull with the ladies as in he has no problem in getting someone to take home with when he's out even never got approached but he does all the approaching himself.

I think you need to get introspective as to what repels your from what you call attractive men. If you have a clear definition of what is attractive men to you, that would also help lol

It’s always the shorter men with that toxic energy and a constant chip on their shoulder. You see how much bitching they do on here about women having more options online, being treated unequally and all the other moaning and groaning I just know behind that screen is an bitter man under 5’9. They secretly hate women and act like they want one. Taller kings, even the unattractive ones are never doing that. Never ever dated a tall man with such bad energy.

The attractive guys think they have a chance to get laid and the ugly ones know they don't. 90% of the time if a guy is being nice to you it's because he wants to fuck.
