Why don't attractive guys or the ones I find attractive approach me?

Hey peeps! I'm an above avg looking women, shy and I do smile lots when I'm out especially with friends but still I don't really get approached. It's been 2-3 times but they were not what I see myself with ( not being cocky but I do know where I'm in at least looks book😐🤧)
Ah yes I do get real shy and don't hold contact for too long ( working on it!!) and I myself have approached 2 guys uptill now ( didn't work out, one never even responded after literally showing so much interest in me i'd be blind if I didn't see that so I mustered all the courage that day and said hi, complimented his nice pink shirt he too looked interested then boom disappeared (looked like an fboy so ikik) so ofc I let that go and still will approach if i see someone interested and not making out with their phone 😭😂🙂) but still once in a while it'd be nice to be approached too.
; Ayoo not here to brag but all in all would want to meet in person a decent men. A solid 7-8 runs :j
Guys, do let me know is there anything else I can work upon. And when do the abv avg ones actually approach ( let me know if you've got them answer) or places where when I'm free i could go and have better chances of meeting potential long term partners! :B

Guys I did it today
I finally asked one guy during a college fest. He was standing ahead of me and we exchange multiple glances. I even asked his help to record the videos of the singer, then complemented him and we talked and later asked his number.
Still in the end i asked and he gave. I wonder if i was too pushy, i mean we were at that place for about an hr but still he didn't make any move and i ended up asking his number:< giving desperato vibes. Am i just thinking too much?

The vast majority of the guys you see as "attractive" are the same guys that every other girl thinks are attractive, which means those guys have a ton of options. Since they have so many options, almost none of them are looking for actual relationships - they're just looking for casual sex. And plenty of other girls want their attention so badly that they will give those guys casual sex. If you won't, then you can't compete with those other girls, even if you are better looking - though if you want a relationship, I don't see why you would even want to compete for men who don't want a relationship anyway.

The guys who aren't as attractive, but are approaching you, are far more likely - though not guaranteed - to be looking for a serious relationship. Like it or not, from a relationship perspective, those are the men on your level.

Most girls don't seem to understand that just because they can attract more desirable men with casual sex, it doesn't mean they can attract that level of man for a relationship. Men have no problem sleeping down, but they don't commit down in most cases. Hot guys will trade some of their attention for some casual sex, but most of those women won't be taken seriously as a relationship partner. For men, sex and relationships are two completely different things with two very different sets of standards.

Here’s the thing. We should all have a standard so there’s nothing wrong with that but understand that the more attractive the guy the higher their standard is as well. Bring your A-game for looks and dress the part. You’re not just trying to get his attention, you’re also competing with every other girl in eyesight (and the few not even there he may be thinking about) so you can’t do this subtle ‘smile, eye contact, hair twirling’ thing as your best pitch. You see a guy you like you’re going to need to throw a fast-pitch at him. Like BarryLiverstone said, be bold and direct.

Lastly, I had a female friend I used to know who was an absolute man-eater. She was really something else and while she may have had some moral blind spots the reality was she could make men trip over their own feet and spill their drink when she walked past. One of the things she used to say when we all went out as a group of friends and she was looking to meet a guy: “A girl dresses cute if she wants to be left alone by guys and approached by girls. A girl dresses hot for the opposite.” Man, she sure knew how to dress.
