Is my boyfriend trying to make me jealous and why does he do that?

He would say to me that beautiful girls like him and want him, girls find him cute and handsome. Something like that. And sometimes when I asked him “what did you do in the park?” He said “to flirt with girls” (before we are in a relationship)

There's not much context about how you interact with each other. But there is a possibility that maybe he feels like he's not getting that attention and appreciation from you. Are you complimenting him on his looks, etc? The other part of it that doesn't really sit well with me is how he points out the attractiveness of other girls. This is a hard question for me to ask, but Do you feel like you've been putting effort into your appearance? I think that this is something you should discuss with your partner directly (as uncomfortable as that may be), but strangers on the internet will never have the full story or any control over what happens in your life. Please be transparent, sit down with your partner and see if there is something you can figure out together. I wish you both the best!

Nice input! Well I did compliment on his looks and he did told me to wear makeup but I don’t. But actually the situation is more complicated.
I’m the one who put in effort financially so much more than he does like paying full rent since he’s currently jobless. There’s resentment of course, and I don’t have the extra time to do too much “dressing up and makeup”. Because of my resentment, sometimes I intentionally withhold my affection and so he sometimes will say that I don’t care about him.

I don't know, I have richer guys who is chasing me but I still stay with him regardless of his financial status just because I like him. I’ve never told him richer guys want me to make him jealous. You know guys will get hurt if compared financially. Same as girls if they are compared physically.

Thank you for being open and honest about that! It must be difficult to be in your position. Resentment is detrimental to a healthy relationship. Once again, I suggest bringing that up. It will be a challenging conversation and sometimes the ego can get involved with that, but it's better said, and maybe you can create change together. Rather than letting things go on like how they are right now
