Have you dated someone that doesn’t like to hold hands in public?

I’m talking to this guy and he doesn’t like to hold hands or show any physical touch in public, but when it’s just the two of us, he’s fine with it. I only found out when I tried to hold his arm in public and he pushed it away. Is this something I should be worried about?

I dated a girl who had some past trauma and didn't like public displays of affection - even holding hands. She was fine with anything at home in private, but didn't even like to shake hands in public. This is something she disclosed to me before we even dated. And, yes, it was a little weird, but because she had explained this up-front, I was fine with it because I understood that it had nothing to do with me.

I dated a girl who absolutely did not want to hold hands. As we were walking side by side she would keep a distance apart and tuck her hands in. I asked her one to hold hands and it was only for a few seconds. I’m not sure how other guys feel but I don’t mind holding hands. It tells others I’m taken lol.

No. Not that I'm aware of at least. Though tbf, I'm not into hand holding at all either so rest assured that has no direct link to the individual is interested in you or not.

Some guys find it embarrassing and some of us men feel it draws attention to ourselves :( me personally I didn't like it at first when I got with my then girlfriend but I grew to eventually get used to doing it for her as she would get upset when I pulled my hand away :(

No. Physical touch is my #1 love language. I need hand holding, hugging etc even in public. If it were me I'd find another I'm matched better with.

Nothing to be concerned about. He just doesn't like PDA. Neither do I, I'm the same way he is - I'll be as affectionate and touchy as he wants in private, but keep it out of public.
