I started a new job a month ago at a small company, and my boss, who’s engaged with kids, began flirting with me. At first, I thought he was just being friendly, but he eventually revealed he's in an open relationship. He sent suggestive texts, and after a long conversation, he asked me out. We kissed at work, and while I’m very attracted to him, I’m scared for my career. I’ve just landed my dream job, and I was hoping to eventually become his apprentice. I’m torn between the attraction and the potential risks. Any advice or similar experiences?

1 yOh man, girl you're in a pickle! Making out with the boss is super risky to your career. Some things to think about:
- His relationship situation is messy. You don't want any drama affecting your work.
- Attraction happens, but you gotta protect your bag first. This job is your dream!
- Even if he's not a creep, others might see it that way or treat you different if they find out.
- Things could get real awkward real fast if it doesn't work out romantically. And it prob won't stay secret long.
I'd say for now you gotta put some distance. Be polite but no more solo time with the boss man till the feelings cool off. Focus on doing your job well without distractions.
If he brings it up, be honest but graceful. Say you care about your career coming first right now. Maybe down the line if you're not working together directly things could be different.
This too shall pass, sis! Don't mess up a good opportunity for a risks fling. You got so much potential - stay focused on your goals first.00 Reply

Stop making out with him and just be upfront and honest with him that you don’t want to be involved with someone that’s in an open relationship , tell him you really like your job and you don’t want anything to interfere with your career , just tell him sorry that you made a mistake and you don’t want to do it again , , just be polite and honest to him , give him a compliment sandwich as well , just say even though I made a mistake I have to say you are a good kisser or whatever compliment sandwich you want to give him , and then tell him you are sorry and hope he understands your decision. If he tries to get you to change your mind , then just make up a lie that you are dating someone else and you want to be loyal to him.

1 yI really wished you hadn't engaged with him. Office relationships never work out and only cause more trouble down the line. Might be time to start looking for another job.
He said he's engaged and in an open relationship
Most men lie though. Besides why be engaged or married if you just want an open relationship. It's a bit contradictory..10 Reply
1 yYou're a side chick. He's a dog. If his fiancée/wife/whatever didn't tell you to your face, he's lying.

u 1 yFirst, get some evidence, such as text messages and shared photos. Then go to him and tell him you don’t want to continue in your present position and you want him to help you find another position. You can suggest that his failure to help you could have dire consequences for his relationship. Get established in a new job, and then you might want to tell his fiancée that he is a cheater.
11 ReplyReally, how does she know, this guy could be a pyscho or something. Whatever happens she has messed herself up, by getting involved with someone at work.
I dread to think, what he might to do her, if she goes telling her this info. Good luck with this.
I would just leave and find another job. She dug herself a hole, she can't get out of. Just move on, is the only solution. All revenge does is digging 2 graves.
3.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. Well I guess you could always put yourself in his girlfriend's shoes or
If you had a boyfriend how would you feel if the table was turned
And then there's always what happens when you break up who goes where
So you can either stop now or keep it going as long as you possibly can see what happens but you didn't mention somebody was the boss and somebody just got a job I can only imagine who would go first00 Reply- 3.5K opinions shared on Dating topic.
1 yBest thing for your career is to find another dream job... somewhere else. This can only go downhill. Next time, don't give in when this kind of "opportunity" arises.

Open relationship or not
Create some distance and when he asks why tell him you don’t wanna take things any further
He’s powerless to force you because he’d be exposing himself to abuse and harassment charges
And with time you can earn his professional respect and become his apprentice
Or not. In which case you find a new job00 ReplyAsk for a raise 😂 I'm sorry but that scenario is hot 🥵 I would have fun with it!

Ask for a raise in pay. 00 Reply Get away from him. A lot of people say they're in open relationships when they really are not. Don't jeopardize your career over a crush, specially when you might contribute to breaking a family and cause severe damage to your own reputation in the process.

1 yBetter break it off now for two reasons if you still want to work there you can’t be with the boss and you can’t believe what he is saying so you’re breaking up a potential family, you’ll just be a side chick

If you go further, better ask for bonus 😊
