Depends.
When I met my husband I was also a gym rat, but over time I've got off it and he's still on the same routine. He doesn't care that I don't work out as intense / am not as muscular anymore, but does like me to still do whatever I am doing at the same time/place as him so we can still spend that time together.
As for diet we've kinda stayed on the same page about that, but he had partners before who ate junk food and it wasn't a problem unless they tried to get him to eat something he didn't want to.
Basically as long as you can respect each other's choices it should be fine. Expect them to offer advice/suggest—especially if you're curious or have never tried it before, but don't tolerate being pressured or passive aggressive bs—especially if you've made it clear you don't want to change your lifestyle.
Depends on the individual. Would they want you to be fit and active? Probably so.
So I go to the gym and live fitness like it's a religion. If you can't find me at home or work I'm at a gym or park doing some kind of exercise. My current partner is very much on the other side of the spectrum. While it would be nice for her to share my interest in the gym, it's not that big a deal. I go to the gym everyday and she lays in bed and I'm fine with it. Some guys will try to force you to be on their level of dedication which is wrong, they should encourage you to strive for better not force you.
I guess it depends on how much of a fitness freak they are, but I'd imagine they would generally expect their partners to stay in good physical shape. You have to have overlapping lifestyles, values, and interests to make a good couple.
I avoided dating a friend like this. I'm a casual exerciser, but he's at the gym like it's a second job. I didn't want to feel pressure to have to be on his level because *I think* if someone is that into something, most likely they'd want someone waking up at 5am to start a workout with them or worse god forbid you gain five pounds, and that could be THE issue for them losing attraction for you.
I'm one of those "at the gym at 5am" types. I certainly wouldn't mind or judge if my partner put on a little weight, but I would definitely need her to be the kind of lady who thinks being at the gym that early is a good idea.
Fair enough.

In France no but in America more than likely yes
just be thin and active, then you're good
it's not that hard
That’s usually the case
Not as much as me I like to see her to be active. I workout 7 days week. The weekend just walking. I am a nutritionist.
I hope not. I like not exercising all the time.
That depends on the individual
You need to have a similar interest and commitment
Probably. Not always, but it's a safe bet.
Depends, some of them will.
