Why does boyfriend keep making comments that I'll leave him?

My boyfriend will sometimes hug me and randomly say "don't leave me". Not in a controlling way but in a sad child like way. He's done this a few times and it's always out of the blue.

He's also had dreams that I cheat on him and has randomly made comments about me having a "guilty conscious" when he scared me while waking up.

Hee the sweetest most caring boyfriend I've ever had. I love him more than anything and have no plans of leaving. We never fight and have only had a few disagreements.

Why would he think I'm going to leave him? Or could it be something else?

Clearly you're doing something to make him question your commitment to him. It's possible that the problem is him.

Like for example i worked with a woman who married a guy who was really jealous. To the point he'd drive by our work to make sure she was there. And since sometimes she'd have to take our deposit to the bank she'd have to leave and if he drove by at that time he'd grill her about it later. I think she's enjoyed his possessiveness up to a point. And it would be great if this was healthy. But in my opinion it wasn't. I even told her that might be cute the first year but it ain't going to be cute anymore after 10 years. At some point he has to trust you. I'll be honest. I always thought this guy was kind of an a**hole. And my belief was founded later as walked out on her one day. For another woman. So you see where his lack of trust got him. He had her under lock and key. But in his mind it was OK for him to behave how he liked.

I'm not saying this is the case with your guy. But he doesn't OWN you. He has to trust you! How he's behaving is not healthy for him or you.

It sounds like something he is really worried about. Try sitting him down and talking to him so he understands that you are not going to leave him. Good luck.

Insecurity. It usually becomes a self-fulfiling prophecy as the girl get stired of it.
