Does anyone else like being owned by a man?

I can't understand the problem many American women have with this, espicially women who will sell themselves. I like belonging to someone and having someone who belongs to me, belonging to a family. To me when I married he owned me mind, body and soul and vice versa. I'm always going to be his & he mine.

American women (and, really, women all across western and east Asian society) have been taught by society and media - and ESPECIALLY in college - that being in a relationship with a man, much less being dependent on that man in any way, is a fate worse then death - it's SLAVERY and ABUSIVE. Nevermind the fact that he would in nearly all cases be working much more for HER benefit than his own, and would be prepared to sacrifice his time, health, and even life to protect and provide for her. Somehow, she would be a slave because she might have to cook a meal or run a load of laundry.

This is all based in Marxism - but Marxists recognized that Marxism won't ever be accepted by people who are in a capitalist society, because they're so much better off in a capitalist society. Thus, western society not only had to be demonized, but it had to be sabotaged and destroyed, so that Marxism would become the only offered alternative. And one of the ways you destroy western society is to destroy the nuclear family. Note that destroying the nuclear family became the exact goal of Feminism in the 1960s, and remains such today. In fact, feminists would strongly prefer that women had no relationships with men at all. The point, after all, is to divide people and set them against each other. Feminism does that between men and women, while identity politics (what we call "wokeness") also adds divisions between race, class, sexual orientation, and more. All to destroy western society and leave people so desperate that they would vote in Marxism - and their own doom.

Unfortunately, this has become wildly successful, and has largely destroyed traditional values among women in western societies, which has then made a large percentage of men no longer interested in being in a relationship with a women (because men want women with traditional values, and there just aren't nearly enough of them to go around).

If I ever get married, yes, if it is the person I feel I am destined to be with, I will give them my everything. I only have a problem if someone says that I am owned. I am not the property of a man, nor anybody. I am my own person, and yes, I may be married, and I may have given everything to him, but I am not his to own. I am not property to be actioned off. I should be seen as an equal to the man I marry, not lower. So no, I do not like it when stated as being owned, but I do believe that I should give my everything to the man I marry. No, I do not like being owned.

I'm not a slave so nobody owns me. If someone owns you then you are admitting they're better than you and above you in every way.  I have more self respect than that. I'm a human, I'm not property.

Uh... the whole concept of "owning a woman" is a little creepy to me. No, I don't want an adult sized child to take care of 24X7 for life. I like women who have their own mind, their own friends, their own interests, their own likes and dislikes, and the ability to make their own decisions. I want someone who will push back and tell me when I'm being an ass but also work with me on life's big decisions.

If you're hinting at some Christian traditional wife (Tradwife), NO! I do not want a stepford wife who never leaves the house and wanders back and forth between the kitchen and the bedroom like dutiful servant. That would be like living alone, a non person, not a wife. No thank you.

When I get married, "I'm yours" will be one of my favorite phrases to hear from and say to my wife.

I think what most people don't realize is that mutual ownership in a relationship isn't degrading. It's a sign of deep love, care, and trust. Ownership comes with a LOT of duties and responsibilities. When someone is yours, taking care of and providing for them is your top priority next to honoring God, especially because it DOES honor God.

Nah we don't like that (me & husband). We're partners, when we married it was like becoming locked to each other or part of each other, not like owning each other. Maybe part of that is we are religious so we don't believe we even own ourselves to begin with.

Mutual belonging is a spectrum . We're all relating in different ways to such a personal meaning, depending on how much it is idealized, plus that meaning is likely to change over the course of a lifetime, plus it's likely a couple will think they relate to the same meaning when in fact they relate to a general idea instead. We're also all relating differently to what marriage means, depending on where we live, what we lived, if it's a religious marriage or not etc. Talking about meaning, while I understand the wish and the intent we could put in a ritual like a marriage, I dislike the idea of promising love forever. I think it is wrong, because I don't see how such a sentiment could be put in a cage.  Sentiments are free, to me . I'm in for the path, but I don't believe in premeditated destinations.

Owned can be to strong of a word. But in the sense you describe it I think its something most couples want. Where she is mine and I am here as in we are not available to other people and do things for the benefit of us as a couple being one unit. But not ownership in the sense she has no free will anymore.

As soon as you put restrictions like ownership onto any relationship you kill the possibility of what passes for romantic love to be possible. If such a concept such as love were to be even possible it would need to be the result of a freely chosen alternative with no hint of ownership as part of the equation. Property is owned, people are not.

However, I don't think of marriage as being owned by the man. Maybe in the South part of the United States they believe that? But it's not common to hear that they own each other. I don't think anyone can ever 'own' a person - maybe an object but not a person.

The fact is that no one owns anybody else except if you're a chattel slave, and even then, you can't own anyone's soul. Yes. It's very attractive to me if I belong to a man and he also belongs to me. It feels like balanced gender roles for him to feel a sense of ownership towards me and I take it as a sign of masculinity.
