What do you think of this advice from Quora. All answers are from the same page. WHY are the boys getting such HORRENDOUS advice. 😳 Is this typical?

#1. How do you ask a guy what he wants from you?

Just ask the question. That’s really the best way to find out anything. You could play mental gymnastics or just be authentic and ask the question straight out. It may catch him off guard but the only way to find out where a relationship is going is to ask what they are looking for.
If they are not looking for the same thing you are, then why waste your time pursuing a relationship with them?
Be friends, but move onto someone who is looking for the same thing.

#2. What is the best answer to say to a girl when she asks what you want?

Dodge the answer everytime it comes up. The moment you laid down your feelings and wants, she is bound to screw you up.

Girls are 'seduced' by an element of mystery.

Let them keep guessing , wondering and one day out of intense curiosity they will eventually give up their ego and open up their vulnerable side to you.

Hello friend. A girl asking “what do you want from me?” is unsure of where you stand (she can’t “read” you ) and this is the way you should be in a relationship or when you are interacting with a “potential girlfriend” . Great job.

keep doing what you are doing , keep her unsure of your feelings towards her and this will attract her even more.

To answer her question just say something like “ nothing serious for now “ or “ i am not looking to get into anything serious “

You will be perceived as “higher status” and more relaxed.

the ones who push for a relationship are never the ones who actually get the girl ( more specifically the girl’s attraction ).

So keep up on being the cool guy that you are and keep on doing what you are doing. Answer her questions without pushing for anything , especially if you like her too. Her asking you this question is a big indicator of attraction.

in my opinion, It is typical. Boys get far worse advice in love than girls. I have received/ I have given such low tier advice.

in my opinion, this is not typical. Those just happened to show up in the same spot but generally guys don’t overwhelmingly give each other this type of brain dead advice.

in my opinion, It is not atypically bad but girls get similarly atrocious advice.. just not in that spot in that page.

I want you to make me breakfast. I want your occasional company. I want you in my life. I want you to be happy. I want you to be my friend. I want you to fall in love with me….

#3 was obviously meant to be funny but in my opinion any on the list are absolutely appropriate, as they are done in the spirit of honesty & transparency… and w/ a lovely homage to prince 💚

I actually heard this one, in person, some years ago, not as an advice but as a testimony. Younger brother of a friend, he was 18 or something, recounting, this is obviously manipulative but I'm sure he was not faking it, it was consistent with the character and... I'm sure it can hit right on some personalities, sadly. Two people who learned to be manipulative, in their development, will match on this one. The result won't be pretty though.

Girls are deliberately given bad advice from older women. This is devastating to impressionable young women. Even when men are giving bad advice, at least they're relaying what the think works. Or has worked once for them or whatever. Men don't sabotage younger guys. I spent me entire life fighting off the manipulation from older women that did everything in their power to destroy my life and my sanity.

Gotta keep in mind most of these answers were written by dudes who haven’t seen let alone touched any grass (never mind a woman) in ages.

But the spreading of misinformation is truly dangerous when it comes to giving advice to a guy who’s probably young and inexperienced looking for advice
