No it's because even when we do pay we still feel disrespected and underappreciated. At least I do. I will still pay on dates, but I'll only ever take a woman on a date that can act mature and take the interaction seriously. Like honestly all I really ask for in return is for women to put effort into communicating and be respectful during the date.
I've never felt that way. I can't speak for every guy. But I've always been the decider though. I've never had a woman pressure me to take her out (ya know, like when I couldn't afford it). I would imagine that'd make a difference.
That's his (immature) problem.
Guys are always complaining on how expensive a date is. Well I’m sure that is so if he’s going on lots of dates. Perhaps he should not go on many and invest emotionally first
In earlier generations, the man ALWAYS paid! So we didn't complain because that was expected of us.
Now, I have to admit, with feminism and equality, women should pick up the tab too. My rule of thumb is: S/He who asks for the date is the person that pays for the date.
I am married now and I usually pay when we go out, but my wife has done it numerous times too.
