"Real men don't care about a woman's past."

First off, define a "real man". Are we talking men with self-confidence, who are capable of looking at a bad deal and refusing to accept it, or compliant sheep who bend over backwards for fear of upsetting people and who will not only willingly get shafted, but act grateful for the opportunity? Because depending on which man we're talking about, the answer is self-evident.

However, let's address the core idea, which is that a woman's past isn't an indicator of her future inclinations or at least shouldn't be held against her. That might work in job opportunities or in regards to criminal history, but it does not and ought not to work in romantic pursuits. If a woman sleeps with a 100 men, she is perfectly within her rights to do so. However, she does not get to then turn around and demand that society act like her actions are okay and "don't judge", because that is how you get a culture of moral degeneracy and complacency.

Is it a double standard that men are celebrated for banging lots of women and women are shamed for the same? Yes. Is it ever going to be the case that society, outside of a few fringe groups, recognizes no distinction between those actions based on gender? Absolutely not. Some people don't care, but most do. Sorry, that's reality. Feminists can b*tch and moan all they want, about how much that is "unfair"; it doesn't change the fact that women's chastity is more valuable than men's, because women give birth. In the rather-unlikely event that we completely eliminate the need for women to have children, the situation might change, but by that very logic, there wouldn't even be a need to engage with women sexually, besides pleasure. So, in a way, it follows that the only way for women's sexual proclivities to not be a big deal, is if the one thing they can do, that men cannot, is rendered redundant or made otherwise pointless.

Which is to say, be careful what you wish for--you just might get it.

Bullshit. The vast majority of people are not wildly different today to whatever they've been in the past. So if you've been sleeping around with hundreds of people, you certainly won't be holy mother maria today. And if you've been a whore in the past, then you're likely still somewhat of a whore and that makes it very likely that i would not choose you as a partner.

This "real men..." Framing is nothing but gaslighting cause it appeals to your desire to "be a real man". It's bullshit and every "real man" older than 15 can probably see that for the bullshit that it is.

To answer the question accurately: I don't know either what is classed as a real man? But I do know for a fact that a woman that has sex for fun doesn't make her a cheat or bad person or unable to be loyal or faithful. Maybe a "real" man can be confident in his own abilities to be a good partner and understand that love, communication and commitment between two people is all that matters and regardless of a womans past if she shows red flags get out. Just like if he isn't a good partner. Cos all that matters is being in a fulfilling healthy relationship.

I will say a woman who has remorse and regret for her past. But she’s learned and changed is different from one who thinks she did nothing wrong and defends it. Yes and no, but primarily no. PERSONALLY , I am willing do overlook someone's past if they had a real reason to change.  Example: Brittney recieved a large inheritance at a young age, never had to work. She spent her life 18-26 enjoying LSD, coke, and sleeping with anyone she wanted (2-3 guys a week). Possibility 1: she's now a changed person who isn't on drugs and doesn't sleep around. She changed because she didn't really feel fulfilled or loved, and now she wants to start a family. Possibility 2: she found religion and is living out her faith of what is right and wrong. She wants to start a family and settle down. My response to possibility 1: HELL NO. Not because I think she's a bad person or anything (I don't), but just because she only changed to fulfill her wants and desires. As soon as she gets tired of her family/husband and desires something else, they're in big trouble. My response to possibility 2: Amazing! Of course I'd be willing to date and maybe marry her. There are few things harder than recognizing that you aren't enough and need to lean of God. But once you realize that, there's a DEEP and motivation reason to change, even when things are hard. Oh, and since a lot of people will judge you for being religious, you're just that much stronger than you were before! Also "real men" can think for themselves. If someone comes up to me and says "you're a trans woman who sucked me off last night and if you don't agree you aren't a real man" I'd just be like "whatever dude go float your boat somewhere else" Fun fact: I know a really happy, wholesome, cute couple. Crazy right? Okay seriously though, the husband is super mellow but also fun guy. The wife is a stay at home mom and you can just tell how much she enjoys life. And you can just tell how thankful they are to God. Well guess what? The wife used to be a sex worker. Yep. And she enjoyed it. But then she found religion, got out of the industry ASAP and started cleaning floors, and changed. Then she got married to a well-off Christian guy who's super kind and never judged her for her past. Just cool how things can work out when you honor God.

A guy meets you at the club, you get along and start a relationship. After a while he starts telling you not to wear makeup when you leave, or to stop wearing "those" kind of clothes. In your head he's being controlling, I mean when he met you it was those clothes and the makeup that attracted him, right? Most definitely. But the likelihood that he thought he would have you around long enough , to love you or even like you enough, to meet his family? Most doubtful. When you portray yourself as a 1 night stand, and I'm sorry, but girls who go clubbing are seriously looked at as a 2 hour stand, that's how you're seen. Me, personally, I don't care. Actually, real men will care deeply about a woman's past. A truly self aware and secure man will be exceedingly picky in who he enters into a relationship with considering how it can impact his life.

Her past will show him if she's a valid option as a spouse.

I care, but on the same token you can only care about what is on display, and that is an important distinction to make. When I was slutting it up, I didn't bring my trash home, used a fake name, and a place rented with cash. When that phase was over, it effectively wasn't a part of my life anymore.

Women can do the same thing if they don't post to social media or talk about their escapades and keep those experiences orbiting them. That's the one situation where I would say the past doesn't matter, if you successfully divorce yourself from it.

If someone's whore behavior (man or woman) is accessible, and that person is tied to you, it's not a good look. It's a reflection of you. Just like how when people talk mad shit about their so it feels gross, since they're talking shit about themselves.

I don't get how it's even a question, if a guy asks the same, any sane woman would say his past matters too. There are STDs, babies, and exes if nothing else.
