Is it better to be more naive and hopeful or more experienced but maybe jaded in dating?

If you're naive you can get tken advantage of more easily but if you find the right person it can work out well. If you're experienced you might know more but you could also have your guard up too much and just be cynical and jaded because of past problems.

Do you think you were able to find the right balace of becoming wiser without having a negative outlook?

Experienced but jaded.

I don't consider myself jaded. But I do have a healthy respect for what are capable of. Sometimes the romantic in me does think it's unfortunately that I'll never love purely again. There will always be a level of distrust in me. But just because of that does not mean I can't play the ROLE of that for her. And she'll never know the difference.

I think it's better this way. Because I don't think ANYONE should put complete trust in anyone.
