If we decide on a date he will say we can go wherever you want to or whenever you wanna go he always puts the ball in my court why

Simply put he's kicking the ball in your court because he's trying to make you happy and it's a lot easier to do things that make your partner happy when they tell you what makes them happy. Basically, he's asking because he's trying to get you to have fun and asking what you want to do immediately tells him what to do. It's man math, we use it to keep things less complicated like having a designated sink cup instead of washing cups constantly. We just pick a cup designate it as the sink cup and then just drink water from it and put it next to the sink for next time we're thirsty.

Odds are probably a 90% chance he likes you a lot and wants to make sure the relationship stays healthy because he cares about you, so he does this to make you happy. I highly doubt he has some kind of weird motive. From the perspective of a guy the simplest answer here and there for the most likely is he cares a lot about you.

I know the whole "Smile more" thing has become like some kind of weird controversy but It feels like woman don't understand that when a guy says "I wish you would smile more." or "I like seeing you smile." he's not trying to be a jerk most of the time he's saying "I wish you were happier." or "I like it when your happy." It might surprise you to know that having a woman smile at us genuinely for something we've done or said makes our entire week better maybe even our month depending on how bad it's going.

In all honesty odds a pretty high he doesn't give a single f*** about what you do together as long as he's spending meaningful quality time with you, so he just rolls with whatever you want to do because you and your company is the only part of the date that matters too him. Men aren't as mysterious as we seem in fact often times the answer is so simple you don't believe it because you expect it to be more complicated.
