My boyfriend is never serious?

I'm a goofy and immature person and so is he, but when it comes to romantic or passionate moments he will ruin them by being too goofy. Well be being passionate, saying love you, and I'll feel really connected to him until he says something stupid and immature like "that burger was good". I find it really annoying, and now he's telling my coworkers about how it's a problem I have. It makes me feel like there is no passion. What do I do?

I can understand immaturity being annoying I myself am a very quiet and solemn man but even I can loosen up and be goofy within reason, but I must say, saying that burger was good isn't being immature. So it might be a combination of you not being able to always tell when he is being serious and when he is being goofy and him possibly being to goofy at time. Personally you should just talk to him and voice your concerns, communication is one of the keys to a lasting relationship after all.

And I'd add, it could also be he knows humor is what got him into the relationship, so it's his default to keep you happy, since you haven't spoken to him otherwise.

Communicate with him honestly. Tell him how it makes you feel, try to come at it from his point of view first so he doesn't get defensive then appeal to his empathetic side Hopefully he has one
