Why do men get so offended when you say you’ve got high standards?

Why do women get offended when men have high standards? It depends on what those standards as well as what you offer/bring to the table. For people who have unrealistic standards it’s not worth being mad at them most of them will be very disappointed in the end. To be honest they would never be happy anyways if they got what they wanted.

I may be brutally honest with someone depending on the situation. That they’re holding other people to standards they refuse to hold themselves to and wonder why people who meet those standards don’t want them.

I will also say that people are looking for different things out of a relationship that doesn’t make someone necessarily bad. People take romantic rejection as personal rejection which it ain’t always like that. I would rather have someone point blank tell me they aren’t interested then beating around the bush stringing people along.

But people get offended because they feel ENTITLED…. But some people are also hypocrites because they don’t want people feeling entitled to them yet they also feel entitled as well. Getting into a real relationship takes work on both ends including more traditional relationships.

But I will say if you have a lot to offer you better have high standards. Or you will be used and used…. Until you become very bitter

Because most women that say this don't though. Generally it's code for "I'm not interested in your ugly a$$". Typically she still hung up on her "boyfriend" actually her "fb" who spends most of his time tending to his meth lab.😆

I think it’s probably because they know they don’t have much of a chance to be with you. I admire women who have high standards, myself.
