I’m in love with my coworker, but she’s leaving soon, and I don’t know what to do?

There’s this girl I work with who I really like, but she’s leaving on January 10th to go back to college. She’s 21, a cashier, and I’m 29 and a bagger, so we’re in the same department at the grocery store. We’ve had some good conversations—nothing too deep, but I’ve learned a lot about her, and she’s learned a bit about me too. She’s really cool, and I feel like there’s a solid connection between us.

The issue is, I’m shy and socially awkward, so I’m not sure how to bring up my feelings without making things weird. I keep overthinking it—should I tell her how I feel before she leaves, or wait until she’s back in the summer? I don’t want to mess up the vibe we have right now, but I also don’t want to miss the opportunity if she feels the same way.

Any advice on how to handle this? How can I approach the situation without coming off too strong or awkward?

Thanks for reading!
