Should I slow fade?

Keen for some advice.

I work in recruitment and a woman reached out to connect in with me. Since then she’s been initiating contact, not asking me anything about work and just wanting to get to know me and my personal life.

This week she found out I had a meeting near where she works and she suggested we meet up for a coffee. The chat was great and I found her really funny. I’ve purposely been holding back on the flirting because I was worried she might mixed signals. Also because we met on LinkedIn I wasn’t sure if it looks bad if I hit on a potential candidate.

However since then we’ve been texting almost everyday

Not sure if I should slow fade/cut contact as we’re not dating and I don’t know if she’s constantly texting back out of feeling obliged

I feel like there’s enough evidence here to conclude she’s that she’s interested, in which case I think the respectable and mature thing to do would be communicating and letting her down easy. The slow fade thing in my opinion is so avoidant in nature. Obviously you don’t want to hurt anyone but it’s more hurtful watching the person you thought was interested start drifting away until there’s nothing. That is slow and painful. Give her the courtesy of knowing now so she can walk away will little to no hurt.

Haha nothing wrong with it all. She’s a good looking girl. Only thing is I know she’s looking for a new job and wasn’t sure if she wanted to meet me because she knows I work I recruitment.

That’s why I didn’t escalate. But since then I get the feeling maybe she wants me to ask her out
